Tokyo, June 20, 2019 – KDDI CORPORATION (KDDI) and Industrial Growth Platform, Inc. (IGPI) established a comprehensive partnership today, with the aim of resolving issues and sustainable development in fields including mobility areas, such as MaaS, tourism, education and primary industries, through fostering human resources in communities and cooperating with corporations.
KDDI and IGPI will combine the assets that each of the companies possesses to work on building a model platform for resolving local issues in a sustainable manner and on realizing sustainable development through enhancing communities and industries in accordance with Society5.0 put forward by the Japanese government.
Hereafter, the two companies will utilize the transportation networks and knowledge of Michinori Holdings, Inc., an IGPI group firm engaged in the transportation business, and work with educational institutions such as local universities and technical colleges, local companies, local financial institutions and local governments to accelerate efforts toward regional revitalization including resolving community issues in fields such as mobility, tourism, education and primary industries and conducting training toward the creation of local ventures.
